The District is proud to announce that it has been selected as the 2021-2022 Collection System of the Year Award (less than 250 miles) by the Tri-Counties Section of the California Water Environment Association. This includes the cities and public agencies of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. The award is given as recognition for outstanding maintenance programs, regulatory compliance and safety and training procedures. The District Collection System is responsible for the operation and maintenance of 132 miles of sewer pipe ranging in size from 6-inch to 36-inch diameter and two pump stations. These facilities transport approximately 3.5 million gallons of wastewater every day to the District wastewater treatment facility. The District has been nominated for selection at the State level.
